Why In The World Do You Call It TEAL?

Thank you for asking! The attributes of the teal color resonate with our vision and mission as it symbolizes elegance, creativity, calmness, concentration, uniqueness, and infinity. Individuals who are drawn to or favor teal are likely to be open-minded, inclined to keep their options open, and are not quick to judge situations or people. They may also possess creative and artistic inclinations.

In addition, teal is frequently used in branding for entertainment, communications, and creative industries and is often combined with lighter and brighter colors for businesses catering to children. The teal color draws its name from the common teal, a type of duck (Anas crecca), and was first recorded in the official dictionary in 1917.

Testimonials

Real voices from our community sharing how Battle of the Teal has empowered them to learn, create, and make an impact.

Battle of the Teal has been a cornerstone of my son Alan’s development since middle school. While he had years of private lessons in art, flute, and piano, it was Battle of the Teal that gave him the platform to actually find his voice. Sona and DeAndre are truly like family; they don’t just run a program, they personally invest in every student, even calling us directly to share news. Thanks to the confidence and the resume he built through their showcase, Alan was accepted into every university he applied to. We are forever grateful for the stage they provided for his paintings, drawings, and music.
